Cookie Appeal

rescue dog yorkshire terrierLovely little Yorkshire Terrier Cookie came to our Rescue Centre after her owner sadly became ill. 5 year old Cookie is the sweetest girl and an amazing little dog – she is tiny, weighing only 2.5Kg! When Cookie first arrived at our Rescue Centre unfortunately we noticed straight away that she was showing signs of urinary problems and took her to our vet. Urine samples were taken and a course of antibiotics started which did not appear to help, and then on re-examination our vet felt a large stone in Cookie’s bladder.

Cookie is now booked in to have an X-ray and stone-removal surgery, which will take place next week. Until that can take place, Cookie is being kept comfortable.

Our vets have given us a quote of £1,296 for the X-ray and operation, as long as the surgery and recovery goes to plan. We wondered if any of our kind supporters could help us to help Cookie by making a small donation towards the costs of her surgery?  Any small amount you can give would make such a big difference and we would be so grateful for your support. All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
