Mile a Day Your Way
Go the extra mile for the animals in our care and challenge yourself to get active and complete a mile a day your way.
This challenge is open to anyone, whether you are new to fitness or a fitness pro and it’s a great way to get motivated and get moving.
Run it, walk it, ride it, swim it….even treadmill it – you can be as creative as you like. You can even cover a whole mile a day running up and down your stairs at home if you like!
Cover at least 30 miles over 30 days or more if you are up for the challenge or have a personal goal you would like to reach. You can do a mile a day over 30 days or 30 miles over a whole weekend, however you do it is completely up to you.
Get active with your pooch or make it a social and complete your challenge side by side with a friend.
We can even connect you with people in your area who are also taking part – why not get together and complete your challenge as a group to offer each other support and push you that extra mile!
Whether you are taking on this challenge to get active, stay active, lose weight or look after your wellbeing, we are here with you every step of the way cheering you on, providing support and encouragement to keep you going when you need it the most.
So pull on your trainers, dig out those swimming goggles or pump up those tyres and together we can give homeless pets the love and care they deserve.
All we ask is that you raise a minimum of £30 by asking your family and friends to sponsor you and support your amazing efforts.
HOW DO I RECORD MY CHALLENGE?
Upon registration you will receive a link to GivePenny to set up your challenge page. GivePenny is a platform for this virtual event where you can record your miles so you can share your progress with your sponsors. You will receive more information about this platform upon registration.
