Cleo

*NO LONGER TAKING APPLICATIONS*
Hello my name is Cleo i am a 9 week old cocker spaniel. As you can see I am a very pretty girl but I was born with no eyes so am completely blind. But don”t worry I don”t let that stop me and find my way around using other senses. New owners will need to be able to take on not only the commitment of a puppy but also that of a blind dog. I can live with another well established dog. I can live with a cat. I could live with children 10+.

Ted

Bark!! My name is Ted I am a 12 year old Lhasa Apso. I have come to AiD due to my owners ill health. I have been in my home since I was a puppy. Despite my age I am still an active boy with plenty of life left in me. I can be a little shy to start but I quickly come around. I am very bonded with my sister Daisy and we would love to find our new retirement home together. We would prefer to be the only dogs but could live with a cat. I am very unsure of small children so children would need to be 12+.

Bark! My name is Daisy I am a nearly 11 year old Lhasa Apso. I have come to AiD due to my owner’s ill health. I have been in my home since I was a puppy. I am still an active girl and would like an active retirement home with my brother Ted as we are very bonded. We would prefer to be the only dogs in the home but could live with a cat. Children would need to be 12+ as we haven’t been around them before.

Alvin

Bork! My name is Alvin I am a nearly 10 year old Chihuahua. I have come to AiD because of my owners ill health. I am the ultimate lap dog and live to be cuddled. I do still enjoy a little walk but haven’t been out much recently so will need to build up my exercise. As I am older new owners should be prepared for the costs of having an older dog. I may be able to live with another calm older dog, I may be able to live with a cat. I would prefer any children to be 12+ as I haven’t been around them before.

Bear

Bork!! My name is Bear I am a 2 year old German Shepherd x Rottweiler. As you can see I am a very handsome boy! The people at AiD don”t know much about my history but I haven”t had the best start in life. New owners will need to be happy to take on a dog with unknown history and learn as they go. I can be a little nervous of new people to start. I cannot live with cats or small furries. I can live with children 15+. I could live with a calm medium-large size dog.

Sparkle

Bark!! My name is Sparkle and I am a 11 year old German shepherd cross. I have come to AiD due to a change of circumstances with my previous owners. I take time to build trust with people but once I am happy will come over for a chin tickle. All I want is a comfy retirement home to see out my last years in comfort and be someone’s perfect companion. I do still enjoy a little walk but am equally happy to just have time in the garden some days. I am sensitive to loud noise so a home that is in a quiet area would be ideal. As I am an older girl new owners should be prepared for ongoing medical costs. I would prefer to be the only pet in the home and children should be 16+.

Reggie

Woof!! My name is Reggie I am a 7 year old Shar Pei cross. I have come to AiD as a stray so the people here don’t know much about me. I am however a super friendly chap and love everyone I meet! I love nothing more than cuddles on the sofa although I do forget my size and sometimes will try and sit on your lap. I am playful with other dogs and could maybe live with another dog of a similar size but no cats. The people here don’t think I have had much exercise so will need my strength building up before I can go for long walks. I could live with children 11+.

Nero

Woof. My name is Nero. I am a retired Greyhound so there is limited information on me. I need to be the only dog in the home. I will require new owners who will help me become accustomed to living in a home. I will not be used to household noises such as the hoover, washing machine and television. Some greyhounds have never climbed stairs so I may need gentle encouragement with learning how to negotiate them. I may also need help learning how to become clean in a home, although usually with a set routine Greyhounds tend to be quite clean dogs. I need to be the only pet in the household due to my racing past. Any children in the home would need to be 10 years and older as I have never been around children.

Otis

Bork, I am Otis, a 3 year old lab cross. When I first came into rescue I had a number of behaviour challenges, but I have come so far since then, my friends here say I am doing so well! I am looking for my forever home with experienced owners who will continue to help me overcome my fears about the world. I am a sensitive boy that would prefer an adult-only home in a quiet area as I can get easily overwhelmed. I am much better at meeting new people now, but I do still occasionally get spooked. I am super smart and very food driven, and I love learning new things and working out new puzzles. I get on well with dogs out on walks but would prefer to have my own space in the home. I have mild hip dysplasia so can’t be over exercised but enjoy going to hydrotherapy to help maintain my strength. I am a super lovely boy who will make a wonderful companion for the right new family.

Woof. My name is Maverick. I am a 3 year old French bulldog X Pug. I am looking for a quiet new home with people who are able to spend quality time with me and help with my quirks. I need a home without too many visitors as I find people arriving and leaving really stressful. I am best as the only pet in the home so I get all the attention. Any children in my new home would need to be 15+. I am an energetic boy that loves playing with toys.
