Volunteering

The gift of your time is priceless…

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do and you can’t put
a price on the time you can give us to help the animals in our care.

Become a community ambassador and play a vital role as part of the Animals in Distress family by giving your time and spreading the word of our work in your community.

Meet new people . Make a difference . Gain confidence . Be part of a community

We currently have the following volunteering opportunities at Animals in Distress:

Volunteer Fundraising Admin Assistant (part-time, working from home)

We are looking for help in our busy fundraising office, to help us with all aspects of fundraising adminstration. This role is part-time (approximately 1 day per week, hours to suit).

We are looking for someone who is competent in Microsoft Office and ideally has experience of databases, though training will be given. A confident telephone manner would be desirable.

Could this be you? For more information please email supportus@animalsindistress.uk.com

Please note that this role will not begin until lockdown ends.

Collection Box Co-ordinator

We are looking for someone to help co-ordinate our collection boxes in the local community. If you like to get out and about and meet people, and would like to help the animals at the Rescue Centre at the same time, this could be the role for you.

For more information and an application form, please email supportus@animalsindistress.uk.com

Please note that this role will not begin until lockdown ends.

We regret that due to the Covid-19 situation,  we are not currently in a position to take on any new volunteers at our rescue centre or any of our shops.

This also includes work experience placements and Duke of Edinburgh students.

We regret any inconvenience caused.
